Following the successful production of "Don't Dress For Dinner" at the Knebworth Village Hall, it was time do something relaxing and some 20 members and friends of Knebworth Players attended at Hallowe'en evening at a members house in Stevenage. Our hosts had decorated the house with the traditional candles, spiders, etc. and a magnificent pumpkin candle that another member had grown.
Everyone entered into the spirit of the evening and there were amazing surreal and spooky costumes of all types representing the Hallowe'en theme, mostly created by the members themselves. Some interesting mood music had been put together for the occasion and everyone had a good time.
During the early evening several youngsters called 'trick and treating' and were surprised to see a house full of 'strangely' dressed adults enjoying a Hallowe'en party. Even the food was colour co-ordinated - orange and brown/black as near as possible to match the occasion. Cakes with orange icing and brown stripes!
Having relaxed and enjoyed the evening the Players are straight away into production for the February play, which is "Prescription For Murder".
