Out of Sight, Out of Murder by Fred Carmichael
Thursday 21 - Saturday 23 October 2004
Knebworth Village Hall
Peter Knight (Wayne Jarvis), a writer, found himself living the murder mystery that he was writing, when sudden events brought his book to life. Peter's housekeeper, Minna (Judith Cook), was unaware of all the goings on as she increasingly became convinced that Peter was going mad. He fell in love with the character Kay, (Barbara Russen), was irritated by the crabby Fiona Babcock (Pauline Jordan) and was intrigued by the glamourous Lydia (Alison Levesley). Peter puzzled his way through his three murders (Jordan Dillingham (Clive George), Addie (Lesley Shadbolt) and Dick Stanton (RoB Ward)) before the immortal line "The Butler did it!" rang from the audience - much to Cogburn's dismay (Peter Scott).
This was a wonderful production in all senses. The set was magnificent and the crew did a fantastic job in building it. The audience went home thoroughly entertained with a storyline that was very different from the usual murder-mysteries.
